Averant, Inc. is a high-tech software start-up based in Hayward, California, developing Comp uter Aided Design software that improves the efficiency of the logic design process. Developing our products involves various disciplines in electrical engineering and computer science: logic design and architecture, VLSI, theoretical computer science, algorithm design, compilation technology, and software engineering including the applications of Java technology.

Senior R&D Member of Technical Staff, Verification Engine
Location: Hayward, CA
Description: Design and develop software for functional verification of ASIC and semiconductor IP designs. Create and implement analysis algorithms for hardware descriptions written in the Verilog and VHDL languages.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. Electronic Design Automation
- Excellent coding development skills including ability to design efficient software, analyze complexity, implement, and debug.
- Excellent analytical skills with deep knowledge of advanced computational algorithms, and heuristic solutions for difficult problems.
- Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: formal verification; simulation; HDL compilation & synthesis
